Mary E. Zimmerman, age 74, of Neola, Iowa, passed away September 12, 2010, at her home unexpectedly.

Mary was born September 6, 1936, in Council Bluffs, to the late Francis “Shag” and Gertrude (Doyle) McGuire. She worked for John Deere out of high school until she and Don started their family. Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Altar and Rosary Society in Neola.

Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Mike McGuire.

Mary is survived by husband, Donald Zimmerman, sons, Bruce (Deb) Zimmerman, Bob (Carol) Zimmerman, Kevin (Evelyn) Zimmerman, Phillip (Rachel) Zimmerman, Dave (Charity) Zimmerman: daughter, Dawn (Lee) Casey; 11 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, with a rosary starting at 6:30 p.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Neola. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, at the church.

Memorials directed to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Neola and St. Albert’s Catholic Schools.
