Theodore C. Beaver, 65, of Council Bluffs died May 9 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. He lived in Council Bluffs for 40 years and lived previously in Lewiston, Pa.

He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 8, 1938, to Lester and Margaret (Stayrook) Beaver.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a locksmith for Council Bluffs schools and retired in 1996 after 17 years of service.

He was married on April 6, 1998, to Barbara Clevenger of Council Bluffs.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Beaver, who died Feb. 16, 1999.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters, Karen Kerres and husband, Anthony of Omaha, Cyndi Croker, Sheri Wilson and husband, Ross, all of Council Bluffs, Kathy Hieb and husband, Richard, of Lake Dallas, Texas; a son, Ron Beaver of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Esther Peck and husband, Gregory, Helen Shotzberger all of of Lewiston; a brother, Fred Beaver of Delaware; 15 grandchildren, three stepdaughters, one stepson.

Visitation with family is Monday night from 7 to 8 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Tuesday morning at 11 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Goebel officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial of ashes will be at Ridgewood Cemetery in Council Bluffs.

Memorials may be offered to the family.
