Norman W. Knott, 68, of Council Bluffs died May 7 at Good Samaritan Home in Villisca.

He was born Feb. 10, 1935, in Hancock to Harold and Ruth Knott. He was an equipment operator for Omaha Public Schools for 38 years. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

Mr. Knott was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, on Nov. 1, 2000.

Survivors include one son, Brad, and wife, Janice, of Council Bluffs; daughter, Jeanette Mayes, and husband, Lee, of Aberdeen, Miss.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Byron and wife, Kathy, of Neola and Kendall and wife, Jenny, of Crescent.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Elders Tom Arnold and Tim Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery in Hancock.

Memorials may be offered to Epworth Methodist Church Elevator Fund.
