Casey S. Bergantzel

Casey S. Bergantzel, age 31, of Underwood, Iowa, passed away June 26, 2010 at his home.

He was born July 29, 1978, in Council Bluffs, to Charles and Peggy (McHugh) Bergantzel. He graduated from Kanesville School in 1997. Casey married Stephenie Bazemore on February 22, 2005. He was a plumber for Rob Stevens.

Casey was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bergantzel in 2003; and his nephew, Cody Bergantzel in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; son, Mason; daughter, Jamie; stepsons, Erick Bazemore and Caleb Schlotfeld; mother, Peggy DeSantiago; stepfather, Sam DeSantiago; sisters, Chris (Bob Hayes) Bergantzel, Kandi (Scott) Snipes; brothers, W. Don Bergantzel, David Bergantzel; grandfather, Sy McHugh; stepmother, Deanna Bergantzel; stepbrothers, Tony, Mike and Alan DeSantiago; stepsister, Kathy Kennedy; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family,Thursday, 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., at the Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Rev. Sara Jensen will officiate.

Interment Hazel Dell Cemetery with a lunch following at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Neola.

The family will direct memorials.
