Mary Jo Paulison

Memorial service for Mary Jo Paulison, 56, of Crescent will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Dodder officiating.

Mrs. Paulison died March 17 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born Jan. 1, 1947, in Council Bluffs to Joseph Z. and Ina (Johnson) Fienhold. She previously lived in Underwood, moving to Crescent 30 years ago. She was a 1965 graduate of Underwood High School. She was owner-operator of the Pink Poodle Restaurant in Crescent for the past 30 years. She was a member of Hazel Dell United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Paulison was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1985; her father, Joseph Fienhold, in 1960; and brother, Jay Fienhold, in 2001.

Survivors include a daughter, Jerri Paulison, and husband, Michael Janku, of Denver, Colo.; mother, Ina Bernhardt, of Crescent; grandson, Troy D. Paulison, of Phoenix; sister-in-law, Linda Fienhold, of Council Bluffs; nephews, Allen, Joe, and Jamie Fienhold; two aunts, Anne Patterson, of Weeping Water, Neb., and Katherine Kepford of Dunlap; dear friend, Doreen McNeil, of Crescent; numerous cousins, many friends and many faithful employees.

The body has been cremated; there will be no viewing. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be offered to MICAH House or Hazel Dell United Methodist Church.
