In Memory: Donald Christensen

The funeral for Donald Lee Christensen, 69, of Council Bluffs was held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan with the Rev. Paul Wilcox officiating.

Mr. Christensen died November 6 at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Harlan and attended Harlan Community Schools. He served in the Air Force from December 26, 1950, to October 13, 1954. He was a truck driver for 54 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Christensen and his wife, Fran, were married 47 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Karen Christensen of Council Bluffs, Glenda Faurot and husband, Steven, of Omaha and Dee Crouse and husband, Kevin, of McClelland; one son, Richard, and wife, Dee, of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Joanne Mathiasen and husband, Norman, of Harlan and Barbara Jansen of Oakland; two brothers, Jack and wife, Carol, of Harlan and James and wife, Carol, of Loveland, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A prayer service was held at the funeral home with burial in the 4arlan Cemetery.
