In Memory: Edith Mae Miller

Edith Mae (Sullivan) Miller, 92, of Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, died there October 13.

Mrs. Miller was born in Slater, Missouri. She previously lived in Randolph, Farragut, Malvern, Glenwood and Council Bluffs. She was a homemaker and cook at Glenwood State Hospital School, retiring in 1975.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Howard H., on October 19, 1968.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Lou Hakenson and husband Clayton of Council Bluffs, Joyce Chambers and husband Walter of Minden, Nancy Lincoln and husband Frank of Glenwood, Sally Duensing and husband Roy of Council Bluffs and Patty Cundall and Gordon Abel of Crescent; four sisters, Doloris K. Smith of Shenandoah, Joanna J. Hedlund and husband Larry of Urbandale, Betty J. Bramble and husband Edwin of Shenandoah and Virginia M. Smith and husband Bruce of Papillion, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Funeral was to be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the mortuary with the Rev. Bill Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.
