In Memory: George B. Moffatt

George B. Moffatt, 76, of Neola died November 9 at his home.

Moffatt was born in Neola. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a first class petty officer. He was a 7-year member of the American Legion Post No. 330 in Neola and a 30-year member of the Federation of Eagles Aerie No. 38 in Omaha.

Survivors include one son, Craig "Butch" and wife, Donna, of Bridgewater, MD; one daughter, Cindy Booth and husband, Paul, of Delaware; three sisters, Bonnie Kaullen and Joyce Cook, both of Neola and Helen Jacobsen of Missouri Valley; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial of ashes was held Wednesday at Neo1a Township Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Sparr officiating. There was also military services by the American Legion.

Memorials may be given to American Legion Post No. 330 of Neola.
