Edward E. "Buzz" Turk, age 72, of Underwood, Iowa, passed away September 8, 2009 at his home.

Buzz was born February 7, 1937 in Council Bluffs to the late Virgil and Irene (Kubelck) Turk. He was a machinist and carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly E. Hitchcock; son, Shannon W. Turk; sisters, LaDonna Parish, Beverly Turk; brothers, Gordon, Wayne and Larry Turk; and brother-in-law, Francis Wise.

Buzz is survived by his daughters, Terri (Dan) Anderson of Underwood, Dawn (Greg) Jones, Candy (Tim) Freeman all of Council Bluffs; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Virgilene Koenig of Papillion, Neb., Connie Wise of Avoca, Iowa, Karen (Dave) Larson of McClelland, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Roseanne Turk of Loveland, Colo., Patricia Turk of Council Bluffs; brother-in-law, Don Parish of Underwood; special friend, Patty Schmaedecke and her son, Tyler Lambertson of Underwood; aunt, Bernice Woltmann of Avoca, Iowa.

Memorial Gathering, Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial of cremated remains will be in the Shelby, Iowa Cemetery at a later date. The family will direct memorials. No viewing.
