Wayne Allen Turk, age 62, passed away January 29, 2007 at Veteran's Hospital.

Born in Council Bluffs on August 1, 1944, to the late Virgil and Irene (Kubelck) Turk, Wayne served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked out of the Labor Union Hall 1140. He married his wife, Patricia Brockelsby, on August 1, 1984

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Jo Turk; brother, Larry Milton Turk; stepson Harry Dale Aherns, Brother-in-law, Francis Wise.

Survivors include wife, Pat; son, David A. Turk, both of Council Bluffs; daughter Lisa Turk of Des Moines, Iowa; stepdaughters, Stephanie Leytham and Denise Aherns; stepson, Gary Aherns, Jr and wife Dawn all of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Teayanna Leytham, Matthew Wooley, Zachery Aherns and Tanner Aherns; sisters, Karen Larson and husband, Dave, of McClelland, Iowa, Connie Wise of Avoca, Iowa, Virgilene Koenig of Omaha, Neb, LaDonna Parish and husband, Don, of Underwood, Iowa; brothers, Gordy Turk of Loveland, Colo., Edward "Buzz" Turk, Underwood, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family Thursday, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services, Friday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites tendered by American Legion Rainbow Post. Luncheon to follow at First Christian Church.
