In Memory: Richard D. Powell

Richard D. Powell, 60, of Modale died December 7 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. He was born October 22, 1941, in Council Bluffs to Caleb D. and Rose Arm (Bracker) Powell.

Mr. Powell graduated from Underwood High School and was married to Vicki Hammer on October 2, 1964.

He was a supervisor for the Swanson Corporation of Omaha for 37 years. He was a member of the Modale Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Renee Dooley and husband, Tim, of Missouri Valley, Jennifer Clausen and husband, Terry, of Logan; a son, Michael Powell and wife, Cathy, of Des Moines; a sister, Jan Kamiga of Murphysboro, Illinois; two brothers, Charles Powell of Underwood and Don Powell of Neola; six grandchildren.

There was no visitation as the body was cremated.

Memorial services were held Monday at United. Methodist Church in Modale.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
