Patrina A. Derry

Patrina Ann (Ferrarello) Derry, 76, of Blair, Neb., died Feb. 18 at Crowell Memorial Home.

She was born May 22, 1926, in Council Bluffs to Guiseppe and Cristiana (Protocollo) Ferrarello. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in
1944. She lived in Blair from 1965 until she suffered a stroke in 1987. She then moved to Mercy Care Center in Omaha until December 2002, when she moved back to the Crowell Home in Blair. She worked as a food service tech at the Crowell Home before her stroke. She was of the Catholic faith.

Mrs. Derry was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Derry, on March 1, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Christine Mercer; brother, Paul Ferrarello; and stepbrother, Lawrence Proffitt.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Derry of Omaha and Cindy Derry of Bellevue, Neb.; three sons, Greg Derry of Omaha, John Derry and wife, Laurel, of Blair, Scott Derry of Papillion, Neb.; five sisters, Marian Rindone of Council Bluffs, Mary Christian and husband, Emil, of Phoenix, Jo Ann Parker and husband,Roger, of Marne, Helen Nugent and husband, Jim, of Council Bluffs, Jeanne O'Hara and husband, Gene, of Hemet, calif.; stepbrother, Virgil Proffitt, of Escondido,Calif.; five grandchildren.

Rosary recitation will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. Francis Worship Center, 238 So. 6th St., followed by visitation until 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Worship Center with the Rev. Ben Kenkel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
