William Heywood

Graveside services for William Howard Heywood, 73, formerly of Council Bluffs, will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Tilson of Valley View Baptist Church officiating.

Mr. Heywood died Feb. 9 in Loma Linda, Calif.

He was born in Council Bluffs. He worked as a carpenter in construction. He was a member of American Legion Rainbow No. 2.

Survivors include three sons, William Frank Heywood of Alta Loma, Calif., Richard Heywood of Cathedral City, Calif., and William Howard Heywood of Horse Cave, Kentucky; daughter, Jeanie Cincotta, of Centerville; seven sisters, Jane Mabbill of Council Bluffs, Darlene Lussier of Jewett City, Conn., Charlotte Smith of Crosby, Texas, Marjorie Robak of Moorhead, Minn., Wilma Gidicau of Moses Lake, Wash., Janice Page of Council Bluffs and Mary Lewis of Columbia, Mo.; seven brothers, James of Nevada City, Calif., Charles of LaMarida, Calif., Kenneth of Rogue River, Ore., George of California, Les of Watkins, Colo., Gail and Dave, both of Randolph.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home.
