Donald L. Driver

The funeral for Donald L. Driver, 90, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Dodder officiating.

Mr. Driver died Feb. 6 at Risen Son Christian Village.

He was born March 17, 1912, in Crescent to Walton and Elizabeth Ann (Vickory) Driver. He lived in rural Council Bluffs on a farm, moving to Council Bluffs in 1977. He was a longtime farmer and mail handler for the Union Pacific Railroad for 18 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of Hazel Dell United Methodist Church, where he was a Church Board Trustee.

Mr. Driver was preceded in death by his wife, Velma, on July 10, 1993.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Kinney of Council Bluffs and Sandra Aries and husband, Robert, of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sons, Robert L. and wife, Kay, and Ronald L. and wife, Sandra, all of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery with a lunch following at Hazel Dell Methodist Church Hall.

Memorials may be offered to Hazel Dell United Methodist Church.
