In Memory: Ivan W. Redinbaugh

The funeral for Ivan W. “Ike” Redinbaugh, 76, of Neola was held Friday, February 1 at 10 A.M. at Belford-O’Neill Chapel with the Rev. Dean Sparr of Neola Presbyterian Church officiating.

Mr. Redinbaugh died January 22 at V.A. Medical Center in Phoenix. He was born in Neola to Vern and Theoline Austid Redinbaugh Sr. He was a 1943 graduate of Neola High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a farmer. He was a member of American Legion, Post No. 330, in Neola, 40 & 8 Council Bluffs, VFW Post No. 737, Council Bluffs and Pottawattamie County Last Man’s Club.

Mr. Redinbaugh and his wife, Jean, were married 54 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Christine Schnitker and husband, John, of Neola and Charlotte Peterson and husband, W. Charles of Omaha; two sons, Charles Dean and wife, Elizabeth, of Omaha and Roger and wife, Leta, of Neola; one sister Alice Broten, of Houston; one brother, Verne, of Neola; nine grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial was in Neola Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the Neola Fire and Ambulance Department.
