Avoca Creamery Head is Dead
Dies in Hospital

Funeral services for Albert S. Stone, 40, manager of the Avoca co-operative Creamery here since 1928, who died Monday at a Council bluffs hospital, will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm at the English Lutheran church. Short services will be held at 1 pm at the Stone home.

Stone’s death came after a short illness. He had been active in rural and civic affairs here, serving as a member of the board of education. For years he had acted as master of ceremonies at the annual picnic staged for members of the creamery. He was a member of the English Lutheran church, and an officer in the Iowa Creamery association.

Surviving are his widow, Tina; two sons, Jimmy and Larry at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Stone; two brothers, Peter and Chris; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Jensen and Mrs. Robert Christensen all of Exira.

The Rev. Elmer Christensen will have charge of the services. Blust Brothers are handling arrangements.
