Mrs. Otto (Ida C. Schnoor) Gathye 1884-1947

Funeral services for Mrs. Otto Gatyhe were held from the First Lutheran church in Avoca Sunday, January 5th with the Rev. Joseph Gerlt officiating. Burial was in Graceland cemetery. Mrs. Gathye died at her home here suddenly Wednesday morning, January 1st.

Mrs. Gathye was born April 6, 1884 in Schleswig-Holstein Germany the daughter of Henry Schnoor and his wife Henrietta Dose. She came to this country about 60 years ago t olive with an uncle, august dose who lived in northeast Avoca.

On January 31, 1905, she was married to Otto Gathye. She leaves to mourn besides her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Edward Dethlef of Omaha; one son, Henry of Riffe, Washington; three grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers.
