Raymond Harry Christensen 1925-1932
Raymond, 7 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Christensen, residing 3 miles south of Avoca, passed away Friday afternoon, November 4, 1932, following an illness of three weeks. Acute nephritis* was given as the cause of death.
Raymond was a fine young lad, well liked by his companions and his absence will be keenly be felt by them, his parents, and other relatives.
Because the family was still under quarantine, the funeral conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. C. A. Nelson, was of a more or less private nature, but many friends of the family assembled there as an expression of their sympathy. Mr. Albert Stone assisted with the singing.
At the cemetery was a group of twenty-five white=surplice members of the English Lutheran S.S. Junior choir to which Raymond had belonged, and they save very impressively, “Precious Jewels” “Jesus Loves Me” (Raymond’s favorite), and “god Be With You Till We Meet Again.”
