MRS. BASIL BAIR

Mrs. Basil Bair passed away Sunday, December 14, in Owatonna, Minnesota after a long illness at the age of 52.

Lela Bunnell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bunnell, former Avoca residents. She had lived in Minnesota for twenty-two years.

She is survived by her husband, Basil, four children: Eugene of Ft. Benning, Ga., Rober of Owatonna, Jack, serving in the US Navy on the Philippine Islands; and Margie, Mrs. McCoy Nevin of Owatonna; 2 grandchildren. Her mother, Mrs. Lulu Bradley of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers: Alred of Los Angeles, California; Eugene of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters: Frances, Mrs. Guy Caldwell of Kansas City, Missouri, and Cathryn, Mrs. L. a. Piper of Avoca. One sister, Ruth, Mrs. Irvin Treat of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 pm at the DeGroot Funeral Home at Owatonna.

Otis Bair of Hancock, Mrs. John Larimore and Mrs. Tim Larimore of Oakland, brother and two sisters of Mr. Bair attended the funeral Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Piper of Avoca and Eugene Bunnell of Omaha, Mrs. Guy Caldwell of Kansas City also attended the funeral. Mrs. Bradley of Kansas city has been with her daughter for several months.
