Larry G. Toyne, age 58, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Omaha, passed away October 14, 2008, at Mercy Hospital.

Larry was born in Carroll, Iowa on August 14, 1950, to the late Gilbert W. and Ione (Davis) Toyne. He grew up in Breda, Iowa and graduated from Carroll High School in 1968. Larry was vice-president for Thermal Services in Omaha where he has worked for the past 36 years. He married Wendy Sholtz on January 25, 2000.

Larry is survived by his wife of 8 years, Wendy Toyne of Council Bluffs; daughters, Jennifer Klasen and husband Wayne, Laura Kline and husband Adam; sons, Nick Toyne all of Bellevue, Neb., Michael Toyne of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Heather; stepson, Rydge Michael; step daughter, MaKenzie Michael both of Bellevue; brother, Ronnie Toyne and wife Laura of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Visitation with the Family, Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with Pastor Russ Tompkins of St. James United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a lunch following at Eastside Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the Breda, Iowa Volunteer Fire and Rescue Dept.
