Lucious H. Metzger, 83, died at a local hospital Sunday after an illness of four weeks. He was a retired salesman and lived at 611 Fifth avenue. He was a member of the Elks club.

The body will lie in state at the Cutler chapel until the funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Cutlers. The Rev. J. R. Perkins will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

He is survived by one son, LeRoy H. Metzger of Council Bluffs; one sister, Mrs. F. S. Beedleson of St. Petersburg, Fla.
