Gladys H. M. Koenig

Mrs. Koenig died Jan. 19 at Montclair Nursing Home in Omaha.

She was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Council Bluffs to Oscar H. and Ellen R. (Peterson) Anderson. She was a 1933 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. During her earlier years, she worked for Nebraska Clothing and then later she worked as a clerk at Bloomer School. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and its Friendship Circle.

Mrs. Koenig was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard L., on June 11, 2001.

Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Owens, and husband, Gary, of Omaha; one son, Bernard Koenig II and wife, Dr. Barbara Koenig, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one grandson, Benjamin Peter Koenig, of Traverse City, Mich.; sister-in-law, Maxine Anderson, of Council Bluffs; nieces; nephews; cousins.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, followed by lunch at the Best Western Crossroads of the Bluffs.

Memorials may be offered to St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church.
