Mildred M. Sperry

TREYNOR - Mildred M. Sperry, 92, of Treynor died Jan. 19 at Indian Hills Nursing Center.

She was born March 8, 1910, in rural Treynor to Henry W. and Meta A. (Knief) Mass. She lived in Treynor for the past 30 years. She was a homemaker. She was also a cook for the former Treynor Lanes and Shortline Cafe in Treynor for 24 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Treynor.

Mrs. Sperry was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood, in 1981. They were married Sept. 6, 1927. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janet, and by sons, Gerald Sperry in 1978 and Don Sperry in 1997.

Survivors include one daughter, Nadine Danker, and husband, Darrell, of Treynor; one son, Walter, and wife, Joan, of Sarasota, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Treynor with the Rev. Arlyn C. Norris officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Treynor. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Treynor Fire and Ambulance.
