In Memory: Marilyn Schroder

The funeral for Marilyn Kay Schroder, 66, of Minden was held Wednesday at 10 A.M. at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny Peterson officiating.

Mrs. Schroder died January 4 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Des Moines. She worked as a caregiver at the R.E.M. Leadway Center in Shelby, retiring in 2000.

Mrs. Schroder and her husband, Elmer, were married 49 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Kathy Brown and husband Chris of Elk Horn, Nebraska, and Jean Quinones of Phoenix; one son, Todd, and wife, Kimberly, of Underwood; two sisters, Diane Kouqias of Missouri Valley and Cathy Broderson of Elkhorn, Nebraska; one brother, Terry Madsen, of Lenexa, Kansas; three grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial was in Grange Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the Alzheimer’s Association.
