James G. Mocha

James G. Mocha, 76, of Honey Creek, died Jan. 17 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1926, in Denver, to James J. and Fried (Herrmann). He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for the railroad, farmed and in 1965 started Mocah and Sons Construction Company. After his retirement in 1986 he started M & D Auto Sales in Honey Creek. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Erma, three sons, Jim of Honey Creek, Roy and wife, Connie, of Honey Creek and Bob and wife, Kay, of Missouri Valley; four grandchildren, Sarah, Nick, Neal and Danielle. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roy, and sister, Marjurie Zimmeran.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Branson Cemetery in Loveland.
