In Memory: Mary H. Hilty

Mary H. Hilty, 67, a long-time resident of Council Bluffs, died December 24 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

She was born North Bend, Nebraska. She worked for many years I the Council Bluffs Community School District in food service before retiring and going to work at Super Saver.

She preceded husband of 35 years, Marvin L. Hilty, who died December 26.

She is survived by a son, Scott Brooks and his wife, Diane, of Neola; two daughters, Connie McVay and her husband, Chris, and Stephanie Hurt and her husband, Jerry, all of Omaha; four sisters, Bernie Ingrim and her husband, Ken, of Grand Junction, Colorado, Joan Thomas of Spring Valley, California, Lorraine Tally and her husband, Jim, of Texas, and Gladys Norman of Montana; three brothers, Ken Wigington and his wife, Kathy, Jay Wigington and his wife, Texie, all of Council Bluffs, and Daryl Wigington and his wife Madeline; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 A.M. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Belt of Solid Rock Church officiating.

Visitation with the family held Monday evening at the funeral home.
