Kathy C. Colwell, age 53, of Council Bluffs passed away April 21, 2008, at Mercy Hospital.

Kathy was born July 19, 1954, in Council Bluffs to Jack and Beatrice F. (Watson) Thomas. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1971. Kathy was a homemaker and a member of the Lutheran faith.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alisa; mother, Bea Thomas; brother, James Thomas.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Melissa Loontjer of Spencer, Iowa, Tyresa Colwell and Miresa Guthrie both of Council Bluffs; sons, Michael Loontjer of Spencer, Iowa, Homer Loontjer of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 4 grandchildren; father, Jack Thomas; sister, Linda Hite and husband Roger; companion, Fred Guthrie all of Council Bluffs.

Funeral service, Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Eberhard A. Hering will officiate. Inurnment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
