In Memory: Irvin M. Jensen

Irvin M. Jensen, 88, of Council Bluffs died February 9 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born December 15, 1914 in Underwood to William C. and Bessie (Scott) Jensen. He lived in Underwood his entire life, moving to Council Bluffs in January.

He was ä farmer his entire life in Underwood. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in Underwood and the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Jensen and his wife, Marvel (Steinberg(), were married December 5, 1939.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger, in 1983; three brothers; and great grandson Sawyer Jensen.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Robert and his wife Janice of Council Bluffs and David and his wife Killeen of Raybun Gap, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was to be held Wednesday from 6:30-to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral was planned for Thursday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-MeyerWoodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs with Elder Ron Kerber of Community of Christ Church officiating.

Burial will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery with a lunch following at Hazel Dell United Methodist Church Hall.

Memorials may be offered to the Underwood Community of Christ Church or American Cancer Society.
