In Memory: Dorothy Stackhouse

Dorothy E. Stackhouse (Newland), 85, of Bolivar, Missouri, formerly of the Neola area, died October 5 in California.

She was born February 1, 1918, in Neola to Weldon and Minnie Litel Newland. She was a loan officer in banking.

Mrs. Stackhouse was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, on November 20, 2001,

Survivors include her daughter, Edith Mays, and husband, Chuck, of North Carolina; granddaughter, Lory Galbreath, of Lebanon, Missouri; grandson, Christopher Alamo and great-grandchildren.

There was open visitation Thursday. Graveside services were held Friday at 10 a.m. at Neola Township Cemetery. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
