In Memory: Elsie Madsen

Former Minden resident Elsie Madsen, 86, died at Millard Good Samaritan Center in Omaha, Nebraska Thursday, February 6, 2003. .

She was born in Vejle, Denmark. She and her late husband Knud Madsen owned and operated the Minden Bowl and Cafe for many years before moving to Minnesota, where they owned and operated a resort.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Kahler and her husband Gary of Omaha; two sons, Don Madsen and his wife Sharon of Omaha and Bob Madsen and his wife Donna of Minnesota; one sister, Ethel Freeman and her husband Bob of Westbend, Wisconsin; one brother, John Kjar of Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Ralston United Church of Christ in Ralston, Nebraska.

Memorials may be offered to Millard Good Samaritan Center.

Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Mortuaries in Omaha was in charge of arrangements.
