In Memory: Peggy L. Sick
(January 16, 1949 - April 6, 2001)

Peggy L. Sick, 52, of Treynor died April 6 at NHS Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

She was born in Council Bluffs and grew up in Macedonia and graduated from Carson-Macedonia High School in 1967. She also lived in Oakland, Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Warner, South Dakota, before moving to Treynor in 1992.

Mrs. Sick graduated from Clarkson Hospital School of Nursing in 1970 as an R.N. and worked as a nurse for most of her life, most recently at Avoca Nursing Home and Bethany Lutheran Nursing home from 1992 to 1999.

She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Omaha.

Mrs. Sick and her husband, James, were married for 31 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Renae Sick; two sons, Aaron and wife, Laurie, of Underwood, and Adam of Rapid City, South Dakota; mother, Dorothy Hotze of Carson; father, Bud Hotze of Tarkio, Missouri; four brothers, Terry Hotze and wife, Helen, of Marion, Dennis Hotze of Treynor, Wendell Hotze and wife, Janelle, of Carson, and Gary Ernie Hotze of Carson.

Visitation with the family was held from 2 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hertz Funeral Home in Carson.

Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Omaha, with the Revs. Dobie Weasel and Harold Rice officiating. Burial was at the Carson Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.
