In Memory: Lois Ruckman

Lois Ann Ruckmsn, 63, of Persia, died January 29 at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

She was born February 4, 1941, in San Diego, California, to Wilbur and Hallie (Chapman) Peters. She moved to Persia in 1946. She was a 1959 graduate of Persia High School. She was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria at Myrtue Hospital in Harlan. She was a member of Community of Christ Church in Persia.

Mrs. Ruckman and her husband, Gordon, were married February 28, 1960.

Survivors in addition to her husband include daughters, Kimberly Hall and husband, Edward, of Orange Park, Florida, Kelly Rich and husband, Charles, of Centerville, Massachusetts, Tracy Smith and husband, Sean, of Thurman and Jennifer Ruckman of Persia; son, Jody Ruckman, and wife; Janet Reinig, of Omaha; 11 grandchildren, Rachel and Jennifer Hall, Jeffery and Christina Pedrick, Douglas, Matthew and Jonathan Rich, Ethon and Emily Smith, Megan and Natalie Ruckman; sister, Bonita Arneson of Omaha; nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'NeillMeyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral was held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Community of Christ Church in Persia with Elder Kirk Parsons, pastor officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery in Persia. A luncheon followed at the PIC Hall.

Memorials may be offered to the family.
