IN MEMORIAM
(Walnut Bureau 1 January 1920Mattie B. Sankey was born January 1, 1866, in Vinton, Benton County, Iowa. She came to Walnut with her parents in 1873.
She was united to marriage to Jas. Henderson in 1887, To this union was born one son, Ralph Henderson, now of Salt Lake.
On November 25th 1918 she married W.A. Reed of Souix City, who survives her.
She died at the home of her brother, W.S. Sankey in Walnut Wednesday morning, November 24th, after a lingering illness of several months, age 53 year, 11 months and twenty days
Funeral services were held from the home fo W.S. Sankey on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. R.C. Buchanan. Remains were laid to rest in the Walnut Cemetery.[Died Dec 21, 1919]
