Orland E. Morris

Orland E. Morris, 85, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 2 at home.

He was born in Oakland to Letha Bates and Raymond Morris. He farmed for many years in the local area and also worked for Nebraska School For The Deaf before retiring.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn E., in 1988.

Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline McKern and husband, Herbert, of Council Bluffs and Judith Callahan and husband, Duane, of St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Thomas Morris, and wife, Carolynne, of Council Bluffs; one sister, Luella Fischer, of Ocola, Fla.; one brother, Mel Morris, of Montana; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill Chapel. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Paff officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
