Norvin C. Oamek, 84, Council Bluffs, Iowa, died at home on October 28, 2007, following an extended illness.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired captain on the Council Bluffs Fire Dept.

Preceded in death by first wife, Alice (Larson), parents Clarence and Theda Oamek.

Survivors include loving wife, Marcella "Mickey", daughters, Joanne Jacobs and husband Steve of Marne, Iowa, Jeri Kolacny of Loveland, Colo., Jean Schober and husband Jim of Omaha, Neb., 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Wright, brother, O.K. "Buzz" Oamek and wife, Joyce all of Council Bluffs.

Direct cremation and private interment. Memorials to the Council Bluffs Fire Dept. or Asera Care Hospice
