Beatrice M. Hancock Wade, age 77, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and former resident of Honey Creek, Iowa, passed away October 16, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Bea was born September 11, 1930, in Ava, Mo., to the late Leon and Edith (Close) Henson. She graduated from Fairfax, Missouri High School in 1948.

Bea was preceded in death by her 1st husband, William Hancock in 1979, and brother J.C. Henson. She married Pat Wade on July 22, 1981, in Council Bluffs. She was a homemaker.

Bea is survived by her husband of 26 years, Pat Wade of Council Bluffs; daughter, Sue Bunjer and husband, Gary of Elkhorn, Neb.; son, Jay Hancock and wife, Tracy of Omaha, Neb.; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Linda Owen; stepson, Roy Wade and wife, Kim, all of Council Bluffs; 4 stepgrandchildren; 1 step great granddaughter; sisters, Phyllis Keeling and Diana Barrett, both of Littleton, Colo.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the Family, Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Funeral Service, Friday, 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Leroy Gerner, Director of Care Ministry at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha, officiating.
