Velma Marie Taylor, age 84, passed away October 7, 2007, in Rochester, Minn.

She was born in Council Bluffs on April 4, 1923, to Charles and Blanche Burkhart. Velma lived in Council Bluffs until 1979 when she moved to Missouri Valley and then to Logan, Iowa. Velma moved to Minnesota in 2004.

She is preceded in death by her parents; step father, Fred Elsheimer; son, Larry Taylor and husband, Berdel, whom she was married to for 57 years.

Survivors include daughters, Jodie Taylor and Randy Harriman of Rochester, Minn., Sonnie Budd of Crescent, Iowa; sons, Greg and wife, Charlene Taylor of Council Bluffs, Berdel "Junior" Taylor and wife, Andrea of Logan, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; twin sister, Thelma Briggeman of El Monte, Calif. and brother, Clifford Burkhart of Pomona, Calif.

Visitation Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
