Lucille P. Buffington, age 89, of Council Bluffs.

Preceded in death by husband, Melvin R. Buffington Sr.; and oldest daughter, Sue C. Walkup; and 2 grandsons, Mitchell and Michael Wier.

Survived by daughter, Viola Walrath and husband, Charles, of Fairbury, Neb., Virginia Wier and husband, Robert, of Phoenix, Ariz., Sharon and husband, of Wichita, Kansas, Bonnie Wiltfong, of Council Bluffs, Debra Belt and husband, William, of Silver City, Iowa; and son, Melvin Buffington Jr. and wife, Jill, of Council Bluffs; sister, Margaret Glidden, of Omaha; 35 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services Monday, 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha. No Visitation.
