Henry Eiseman

Henry Eiseman & Co., clothing, Council Bluffs. Simon and Henry Eiseman, the members of this firm, are natives of Germany. They emigrated to the United States and came directc to Council Bluffs in 1861, where they opened a wholesale and retail clothing establishment. They made but a small beginning, but their push, energy and close attention to business soon increased their trade, and to-day they can show larger sales than any other house in Iowa. They carry an average stock of $100,000 and their annual sales are nearly a quarter of a million; they employ from twelve to fifteen men in their establishment. Mr. Simon Eiseman was married in Council Bluffs in 1872.
