Scott Alan Wheeler, 53, passed away at Broadlawns Medical Center on January 1, 2012, surrounded by his family. Scott was a carpenter prior to his retirement. He enjoyed barbequing with his neighbors and loved all animals and flowers. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man.

Scott is survived by his mother Avanell Baker, step-mother, Karen Wheeler; sisters, Sandra (John) Lloyd and Nancy (Kent) Rounds; nephews, Eric (Jennnie) Rounds, Jason (Jill) Rounds: and niece Angela (Matt) Fuoss; and six great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Wheeler; brother, Craig Wheeler; and step-father, Terry Baker.

A memorial service will be held at Union Park United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012. Burial of cremated remains will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for charities important to Scott.
