Glenna Katherine Rush, 87, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Glenna was born on October 5, 1924, to Jemima and Albert Keith in Kent, IA.

She graduated from Creston High School in 1942 and than moved to Des Moines. She worked for many, many years at Allied Mutual Insurance and retired in 1990. She was a 60 plus year member of Beta Sigma Phi. The two things she loved and enjoyed most in her life were her family and golf.

Glenna is survived by her daughter, Mary Rush Rowe and her husband Glenn; her son, Joseph Rush; her granddaughter, Rachael Snyder von Rhine and her husband, Raymond; grandson, Alan Snyder and his wife Ruth (FitzGerald); granddaughter, Torie Rush; great-grandsons, Charles Snyder, Wolfgang von Rhine and Henry Snyder; many in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Glenna was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert who passed away in August of 2011, her parents and her brother, Ross Keith.

There will be a visitation at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14 at Highland Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice in remembrance of Glenna.
