Jane Schebel, 74, died Friday, August 10, 2012, at home. A memorial gathering will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday, August 12, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel
Jane was born October 6, 1937, in Chariton, Iowa, to Eugene and Martha (Hatfield) McKinley.
Jane worked as a Senior Secretary at Wells Fargo Financial for seven years, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed animals, music and politics. Jane's passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her husband, Roger Schebel, her children, Mary Jane (Jim) Hayden of Logansport, IN, and Paul Stump of Ottumwa; her step children, Greg (Wanda) Schebel of Orlando, FL, Rob (Heather) Schebel of West Des Moines, Mark (Candace) Schebel of Iowa City, and Deb (Kirk) Jones of Richmond, KY; 14 grandchildren, her siblings, Bob McKinley of Des Moines, Jim (Sue) McKinley of Ankeny, Don McKinley of South Bend, IN, and Betty Farrell of Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Audrey Pugh.
