Edward Charles Buch, 94, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012. He was born April 18, 1918 in Clarinda.
Ed served in the US Army during WWII. He owned and operated Empire Floors. In his early retirement years, he managed the Iowa State Fair Grandstand Ticket Sales Office.
Ed is survived by his children, Jan Higgins of Pleasant Hill, D.J. (Craig) Johnson of Kansas City, Fred (Julie) Buch of Pleasant Hill, John (Joyce) Buch of Shalimar, Florida, and Chuck Buch of Des Moines; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; second wife, Marjorie; and daughter, Helen Strait.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4003 2nd Avenue, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
