Dolores "Dee" Anderson, 84, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. 1st St., Ankeny.
Dee was born July 6, 1927 to Iver and Alma Underland. She worked at Ankeny National Bank for many years. She loved playing cards and Scrabble, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughters, Virgie "Gini" Western of TN, Linda (Jeff) Bonam of IN, and Terri (Russ Yarrow) Hayes of Alleman; grandchildren, Kimberlee (Mark), Jamie, Andrea (Jeff), Brandon (Kelli), Steven (Tina) and Nathan (Katie); great-grandchildren, Jarett, Jesse, Savannah, Jack, Eila, and Eva; sister, Sylvina Ray; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orlin; son, Steven; and brother, Orville.
