Patricia Moore, 67, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, August 31, 2012 from a brave struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born March 16, 1945 in Portland, Oregon, and then grew up in Des Moines, graduating from Broadlawns School of Nursing. In 1971 she continued her devotion to helping others and made her home in Phoenix to continue her passion of nursing.
Patricia will be missed by her sister, Carla (John) Fees; brother, Robert (Jill) Moore; best friend, Judy (Don) Hunt; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willia and Carl Moore; and sister, Roberta Thompson.
A funeral in Patricia's honor will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines. Family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to South Peoria Baptist Church, AWANA children's program or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
