Thomas Otto Keenan, age 45, passed away Saturday August 18, 2012, in Hartford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Bishop Drum Care Center, 5837 Winwood Drive, Johnston, Iowa on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. Family will receive friends and visitors from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. at the nursing home.
Tom was born April 7, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended St. Theresa Grade School, was a proud graduate of Dowling Catholic High School, and an Alumnus of Loras College. Tommy's sparkling blue eyes and infectious laugh opened our hearts and made him easy to love. His friends knew him as an avid video game and fantasy football player. But mostly he was known as the #1 fan of the New York Yankees and The Fighting Irish.
He was a loyal and faithful son, father, brother, husband and friend. He leaves behind his mother, Janet; daughter, Anna; Kathleen, to whom he was married 23 years; three loving sisters, Mary (Larry) Phillips, Janelle (Tom) Beebe, Peggy (Craig) Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
