DALE W. CASSEL
Dale W. Cassel, 69, of 3701 56th St. died of cancer Saturday at his daughter’s home in Urbandale. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Cassel was born in Des Moines, where he lived for 40 years. He previously lived in Slater. He retired in 1978 as superintendent of the mail for the former Ninth Street and Grand Avenue Post Office. He was a member of Acanthus Masonic Lodge 632, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9127, and Retired Federal Employees Association, and he was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhana Jean Kelderman of Urbandale and Toni Gay Tebbet of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Elaine Helland of Cambridge; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
