Kenneth M. Wigg died on April 19, 2012 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville at the age of 78.

Ken was born on September 28, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Martin C. and Sopha (Le Master) Wigg. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1951. Ken retired from Firestone in Des Moines.

Ken had a passion for all sports, in particular, baseball and tennis. He played baseball in high school and coached Pleasant Hill Little League. He was instrumental in getting the park and ball diamonds established in Pleasant Hill during his tenure on the town board.

Ken is survived by his children, Kathy Elverum, Kenny Wigg, Kristy Duffy, and Karolyn Deremiah. A daughter Karlene and a brother Carl Wigg preceded him in death. Ken is also survived by a sister Alice Gillham and a brother Paul Wigg. He has eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be on June 23, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.
