DES MOINES - James Paul Goode, 67, passed away January 17, 2023. Jim was born July 19, 1955 to Goerge and Audrey Goode.

Jim is survived by his wife Nancy (Holt) Goode of 22 years; his brother Rick (Rhonda) Goode; sister-in-law Teresa Campbell; nephews John Goode, Justin (Cherokee) Campbell; niece Amy (Luke) Hartz; and 10 great nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Jim graduated from Saydel and still enjoyed staying in touch with his classmates. He had a love for horses and earlier he enjoyed being with the Moingona Fox Hunt Club, and the Des Moines Polo Club. He also loved the time he spent camping at the Iowa State Fair with friends.

Jim worked at Goode Greenhouses for his grandpa and his dad. He later became part owner with his brother, eventually retiring from the greenhouse.

Services will be at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., in Des Moines on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. with visitation to begin at 9:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery following the services.

Memorials may be directed to the Iowa State Fair Jake's Club Jacobson Exhibition Center, in loving memory of Jim.
