Donna M. (Lucht) Mozena, 80, died Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, September 23 at Iles Grandview Park Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 24 at Hope Lutheran Church, 3847 E. 42nd St, Des Moines, of which she was a longtime member. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines.
Donna was born in Carroll, IA on November 13, 1937 to Elmer and Margaret (Carstens) Lucht. She graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1955. She and Wayne Mozena were married August 18, 1956 and together made a home with their four sons in Des Moines. She worked at Farm Bureau Insurance, retiring in 1997.
Donna enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and volunteering at the Iowa State Fair. She will be remembered for her strong faith and love of family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Wayne; three sons, John (Lori) and Jeff (Chris) of West Des Moines and James (Rachel) of Overland Park, KS; six grandchildren, Garrett, Katelyn, Megan, Luke, Quinn and Drew; two brothers, Roger (Jean) Lucht of Coon Rapids, IA and Mark (Sarah) Lucht of Bella Vista, AR; nieces; nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Joel; parents; and brother, Jerry.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation or Camp Okoboji, Milford, IA.
